This ghost town is just a ways off from Big Bend National Park and one town over from Alpine, where Madi and her family grew up. Starting off the wedding weekend right, Madi and Eric hosted the family at the Rock House which — once the tequila came out — quickly turned into a dance party.

The wedding day started early in the morning. Madi, the eldest of 4, and her sisters spent the morning getting ready together, each doing each others’ hair and make up. Once Madi was all ready and in her dress, Eric and their baby Marcie were waiting for a “first look,” in which Marcie definitely stole the show. Then, the girls took a short walk in their earth-toned dresses to the ceremony church on site, which Madi’s grandpa helped build. The ceremony was filled with much laughter and warmth, and the guests showered the happy newlyweds in dried flower petals upon their exit. The sisters headed to the wedding cake reception by way of a truck bed, and when they arrived they were congratulated by all of their friends and family. They all cajun danced until the reception at the Starlight Theater which was complete with salsa, margaritas and tacos!

The next morning we woke up early and took newlywed portraits all around Big Bend National Park.
